This boot is a great selection for anyone looking to do day hikes or extended backpacking trips. I have personally only done day hikes in these boots but I can tell that it is going to be great for my trip in March through Shenandoah Valley.
I bought these boots at the REI gear sale and they fit my foot almost perfectly. I am a size 13 with a somewhat wide foot but not wide enough to need a "wide" size. These boots are the perfect length and width for me. My feet were sore after the first time I stomped around in them but I have broken them in since and they feel great now!
I would recommend this boot to anyone that asks.

These boots are very comfortable. I went up a half a size based on someone's recommendation, glad I did.
Easy to walk around in, the only thing I found is that on smooth surfaces, when wet these are a bit slippery. "Smooth Surfaces" as in tiled floor, coated concrete floors, hard wood floors. Hence the reason it only got 4 stars.
